I’m a freelance journalist and editor currently based in Hong Kong. I cover a wide range of topics, including news, current affairs, environment, travel, lifestyle, culture, marketing, & others.

My work has been published in The Guardian, BBC, The Independent, U.S. News & World Report, South China Morning Post, Tatler, Culture Trip, Campaign Asia, and beyond. For a sample, check out my portfolio.

More than 20 years experience in researching, writing, editing and commissioning across a variety of formats and verticals. I was awarded the ITN/Sightsavers International Young Journalist of the Year in 1999, presented by veteran broadcaster Sir Trevor McDonald, and have since been fortunate to work for several leading media platforms in both the UK and Asia.

I was born and raised in Worthing, UK, before moving to London to work for IPC Media (Time Inc. UK) as a commissioning editor and web editor.

In 2014 I moved to Hong Kong and have reported almost exclusively on Asia since. I read and speak a little Chinese — and occasionally sing it.

I am available for freelance work so please do get in touch.
